Frequently Asked Questions

Who will work on my landscape or curbing project?

With backgrounds in custom concrete curbing and landscaping, our team members will work on your project. Our crew leader will be familiar with your landscape needs and will provide the vision, support, and guidance needed to make your landscape desires come to life!

How long does the process take?

It depends on the size of your job; most jobs are typically finished in one day. Larger jobs or inclement weather will extend that time. It is important to keep everything off the curb for a minimum of 48 hours. After a week, curbing will be hard enough to work around and mow on. Total curing time will take about 28 days.

Do you remove old edging material, rock, stone, etc.?

Yes, we can get rid of your old edging as well as removal of existing materials such as rock, stone, gravel, mulch, etc.
We do charge additional fee for removal and disposal. Prices for removal will be identified during estimate and quoting process.

Why are your prices higher than your competitors?

We pay attention to the details. We do it right the first time! We do not take shortcuts and we use the most advanced equipment in the industry (*Borderline USA). We strive for perfection with every project and are prepared to exceed your expectations.

What can I expect before, during, and after installation of landscape curbing?

First, we will meet to discuss your vision of the project, and provide professional feedback to best capture the curb appeal of your property. Following your quote and your approval to move forward with the project, we will schedule an installation date and collect the a deposit (typically 50%). Existing grass will NOT be effected by our machines. The grass in the area where the landscape curb will be laid is trenched and removed to install your curbing. Concrete is transferred from our trailer to the Curb Machine, using a top of the line electric wheel barrow equipped with large turf tires that will not tear up your lawn. We mix our concrete onsite with a specialized trailer and mortar mixer.

Damaged curb, can it be fixed?

Absolutely, however we do have a $600 minimum charge per project. Our curbing is covered by a one year warranty on workmanship. Most issues, if any, that you may experience would commonly occur within the first 24 hours following completion of the curb installation.
Spider Cracks: This is a common concrete issue that can and may occur.
Larger Cracks greater than 1/4" wide would be considered installation error and will be fixed.
Please note that cracks that have occurred due to vehicles, heavy mowers, ground heaving, natural occurrences such as flooding or tree roots, etc. would fall under the minimum $600 repair cost. The repair price would be subject to increase dependent on the size and extent of damage to the curb.

Does curbing cause drainage issues?

Great Question, and the answer is "Not if you choose us!"
This is one of the most common complaints received from clients reaching out to us to fix or replace a competitors install.
Prior to choosing a landscape curbing company, you MUST confirm with the installer that they address the drainage during the initial survey.
* Please note that due to liability we will not fix/repair another installers errors.
At Zenture Solutions, we identify all downspouts and areas where water would likely gather and form a puddle. To avoid damage to your homes foundation, we install small "V" cuts in the curbing to allow the water to move. This is vital to ensure proper drainage of your landscaping. Once your stone or mulch is installed, these "V" cuts are hardly noticeable and blend into your overall design.

What type of maintenance is needed for curbing?

We apply a high gloss acrylic sealer by spraying the landscape curbing. The sealer activates and brings out the color in order to really making it pop!
*Keep in mind, ALL Sealers regardless of what make, model, or brand, will need to be reapplied over time. Any Sealer exposed to direct sunlight and UV rays will break down eventually. It's only a matter of time before your curbing will loose their luster and need another seal. We recommend sealing your concrete annually to keep your curbing looking like new. If your in the market for a re-seal, give us a call!

Do you have a minimum footage or cost?

Yes, we have a $600.00 minimum for any landscape project we do. This includes flagpoles and tree rings.
For tree rings, we advise property owners to account for the growth of the tree years down the road; this means we have a 25' minimum on tree rings giving you at least a 6' diameter around the tree/root base. This will assist in the prevention of damage to the curbing due to root growth and also allows a maintainable area around the base of the tree....You'll thank us later!

Do you landscape curb playgrounds?

100%!! Curbing is an excellent solution to those overflowing rocks and mulch, and adds curb appeal to the equipment and playground aesthetic. Highly recommended and child approved!!

How do you price the install?

Pricing is based primarily on the number of lineal feet of extruded concrete per job site. Other factors include ground preparation problems, number of different areas to be done, coloring and stamping, and travel distance. This is why we give FREE estimates. We need to see the site before we can give you a quote.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are licensed and insured.

Existing Sprinklers and Drains - how to prep and will they be damaged?

Prior to our crews arrival for curbing installation, we request the homeowner mark with flags or paint the location of any sprinklers in the area where landscape curbing is being laid.
Our bed edger/sod cutter will damage your sprinklers.
*We are not responsible for damaged irrigation or sprinklers if they are not clearly marked upon our arrival. We also request that the driveway or front of your property is clear of vehicles allowing room for our truck(s) and trailer(s).

Do you help with design?

Absolutely!
Smooth curves and flowing lines are the best for enhancing your landscape. They are also easier to mow. Organic curves enhance the landscape and allow for proper drainage as well. Proper drainage is more difficult to achieve with straight lines and tight corners.

Do you offer a warranty?

We warranty our curbing with a 1 year workmanship warranty. Most issues, if any, that you may experience would commonly occur within the first 24 hours following completion of the installation.
Spider Cracks: This is a common concrete issue that can and may occur. Larger Cracks greater than 1/4" wide would be considered installation error and will be fixed.
*Cracks that have occurred due to vehicles, heavy mowers, ground heaving, natural occurrences such as flooding or tree roots, etc. would fall under the minimum $600 footage/repair cost. The repair price would be subject to increase dependent on the size and extent of damage to the curb.

How much does landscape curbing cost?

Multiple factors come into play when determining the cost of your curbing project.
Some of these factors include: linear footage, size of curb, colors, textures or stamping, custom carving, layout, and property issues/challenges. We keep all of these factors into account when determining your total cost. Keep in mind, EVERY project is different, and your property is unique.
Your most basic Grey Slant Style landscape curbing starts at approximately $10.00 a linear foot and your Custom hand carved stone and wooden textures can cost upwards to ~$20.00+ a linear foot.
